This week, Entrepreneur Association (EA) organizes Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week). In this event, many entrepreneurs from many industries come to Anderson and share their experiences and thought every day. On Monday, Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora, gave us a keynote speech, and many attendances were really impressed by it.
I’m one of the directors of this E-Week, and organized Entertainment and Marketing panel. In Entertainment Panel, Mika Onishi, COO of WhoWhatWear.com, Dan Halsted, founder of Manage-Ment, Sasha Pasulka, founder of EB Media, and Virginie Grange, independent consultant in video game industry, joined our panel and had discussion about their ideas about entrepreneurship. In Marketing panel, Devon Ferreira, founder and CEO of Socialnotions, made a presentation.
My role for this event is to arrange those speakers and in charge of operations for each panel. It was the first time for me to take leadership role in Anderson. Although it was difficult to devote extra time in addition to academic and recruiting, I learned a lot from this experience.
First, it was a great teamwork experience, especially with second year students. Second, I can get in touch with entrepreneurs closely. I think that those above reflect positive aspects of Anderson. I’m really grateful to a lot of help from second years, and I think that this can be achieved in Anderson’s collaborative culture. Also in Anderson’s location, many entrepreneurs from California can easily come to Anderson and connect with its community. I hope that I can keep helping with this event and would like many people to join this event!
